Miro Gavran became a member of the Russian Academy Of Literature

At the conference of the Russian Academy of Literature, held on April 22nd in Moscow, it was decided that Croatian writer Miro Gavran become their member.

The Russian Academy of Literature is a successor of the Russian Academy which was founded in 1783 by Empress Catherine the Great.

Over the past ten years, Gavran has had a sizeable presence in the Russian cultural scene  – he has had as many as eight theatrical premieres there, three of which were in Moscow, while the famous publishing house “Azbuka” from St. Petersburg has published his novel “Judith” in Russian.
